""I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship." — Louisa May Alcott"

Hello! I am Chloe. I am a pre-licensed clinician working towards my LPCC license. I have a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

My practice focuses on helping clients achieve an overall sense of wellbeing—not just emotional, but physical, social, and, spiritual. My clients often struggle with low mood, self-criticism, excessive worries, hopelessness, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I see clients that are typically between the ages of 14 and 40 years old. I have a passion for treating new mothers, students, and neurodiverse clients. I am creative and love to help clients find creative ways to cope with their issues. I’m passionate about movement and how connected the body is to mental health; as I have a strong background in exercise science and dance. I most often help clients challenge their negative beliefs and thoughts to build self-esteem. I want to continue to advocate that mental health is just as important as physical health, and they are deeply interconnected. I am an ally and advocate for the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. I can also offer a Christian perspective. If you are looking to work towards overall wellness, I would love to help you on that journey.

I believe in being person-centered, and meeting clients where they are. When working with me, we will work on treatment goals and plans together, and you will be able to work on what is important to you. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) most often, but I will tailor my approach to you and what you need specifically. I will use spirituality in treatment if that is something you desire. I am also passionate about using creativity in treatment, specifically incorporating dance and movement or art. I plan on eventually getting licensed as a dance and movement therapist.

I have worked in the field for several years with experience in residential treatment facilities (IRTS), substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder treatment, adolescent day treatment for neurodiverse individuals, group homes, CTSS facilities, and outpatient clinics. I have experience in group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy.

I love to spend time with my three kids when I’m not at work. Currently during the daytime I stay home with them. I love to sing, dance, read, and watch a lot of movies in my free time. I also have a part time job as a dance teacher at the studio I grew up dancing at, and love that I share that hobby with my entire family now!
