Maple Grove Therapist: Danielle Rikimoto
""What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make." — Jane Goodall"
I’m Danielle Rikimoto, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with over seven years of experience in the field of mental health and addiction recovery. I’m also a pre-licensed clinician actively working toward my LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor). My background includes working in a variety of treatment settings, including group homes and residential facilities—experiences that have shaped my compassionate, client-centered approach to care.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Chemical Dependency and Community Psychology from St. Cloud State University and completed my master’s degree in Counseling at Crown College.
In therapy, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self. I believe in celebrating your strengths while approaching your challenges with empathy and understanding. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, substance use, eating disorders, body image concerns, life transitions, or burnout, I’m here to support you with evidence-based strategies and heartfelt connection.
While I specialize in working with adolescents (ages 14+) and young adults, I also see clients as young as 9 years old. I’m passionate about helping youth and young adults navigate the complexities of growing up, managing emotions, and building self-confidence.
Outside of my clinical work, I love spending time outdoors, being with my family, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
