"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. - Carl Rogers"
I am a pre-licensed clinician who recently relocated to the beautiful state of Minnesota! I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa (go hawks!) before receiving a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University in Chicago. As a therapist, I utilize a person-centered approach, as I believe that you are the expert on yourself. No one knows you like you! That being said, there are often parts of ourselves that we may dislike. Parts that feel uncomfortable to confront or even parts that we avoid all together. Being human is hard, and there is no right way to go about it. As your therapist, I will provide a safe space in which you can explore the person you are and who you want to be. We will collaborate on goals and determine how therapy can be most effective for your individual needs.
I am passionate about helping individuals identify their strengths, boost their self-esteem, and cope with anxiety, depression, or various life stressors. I have experience working in a residential setting with clients who have experienced severe trauma, substance use, psychotic symptoms, and suicidality. Regardless of your experiences, I make sure to bring my authentic self to each session to meet you exactly where you are at. There is nothing you need to face alone :)
In my free time, I enjoy yoga/meditation, reading, playing video games, and spending time with my friends, family, and cats, Fancy Boy and Cleo. My passions include dance, theater, and connecting with others!
